One of our most popular product items is our luxury, bespoke kitchens. We have now expanded to offer this service to Bristol, Bath and beyond. Due to the popularity of our kitchen range, it got me thinking about the importance of a kitchen in the home. Why do some people choose the standard modular, flat pack type kitchen whilst others will spend more on a bespoke range like ours? Being surrounded by beautiful bespoke furniture, you could say that I am slightly biased. However, I am and always will be a consumer first and I, like anyone else, want the best product for the best price.
Therefore, after consumer experience of flat pack and cheaper modular furniture, it is safe to say I would not go down that road for my kitchen. You see a kitchen is not an everyday purchase, it is not something you are expecting to change frequently. Because of that reason, as a consumer, I wouldn’t want the issues that come with the cheaper alternatives. Some of our clients that have experienced a flat pack kitchen reported problems with; delivery issues, missing parts, re-replacement issues, the laminate peeling off, poor layout and design etc There is an old saying in life that ‘you get what you pay for’ and in this case, It is certainly true.
One of the great advantages of a bespoke kitchen is the ability to have it shaped and designed around any kind of room. Flat pack on the other hand is a standard item, so there is no scope for you to input your own design or choose how you would like the space used. With a bespoke service there no compromise because you can have things positioned where you want them to be. Standard kitchen sizes are made up of units of a pre-determined size and shape. Therefore, you have to fit them in the space you have, thereby not utilising the space efficiently. With a bespoke design you can have anything you want, in any colour you want, in any space that you want. Bespoke kitchens even offer a financial benefit as they increase the value of your home. This is due to their superior quality and unsurpassed longevity.
The kitchen is the heart of the home. In a place where meals are created, time with family and friends is shared, it is fair to say that life is truly lived in your kitchen.
